The silk PLA composition provides reduced surface roughness and a subtle satin sheen compared with standard matte PLA, improving the visible quality of prints without additional post-processing. The multicolour Forest Flame gradient creates gradual colour shifts along the print, suitable for decorative objects and models. At 1.75 mm diameter and 1 kg weight, the spool offers compatibility with common desktop FDM/FFF printers and a practical filament length for medium-sized projects.
Load the 1.75 mm spool into a compatible FDM/FFF printer following the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Recommended print temperatures and speeds depend on the specific printer and hotend; start with typical PLA settings and adjust as necessary to optimise adhesion and colour transition appearance. Use a heated bed if available (40–60°C) or ensure good first-layer adhesion with glue stick or blue tape. When printing multicolour gradients, orient long continuous surfaces to show the colour transitions effectively.
