Smart Attachment Set Standard (IT) — intelligent socket adapters for the NRGkick charging unit, supplied as three interchangeable Smart Attachments that allow connection to different socket types and enforce safe charging limits. The set includes adapters for 16A 5-pole, 16A 3-pole and Type L 10A (IT) sockets and is compatible with the NRGkick Connector Unit. The adapters are designed for simple handling and automatic recognition by the charging unit to ensure the charging current never exceeds the permitted value.

Advantages

The Smart Attachment Set provides phase-level temperature monitoring and dual-pin monitoring on the domestic-socket adapter, enabling the NRGkick to reduce charging current automatically if a socket overheats. The design prevents arcing by interrupting current flow before contacts separate, protects against incorrectly wired sockets by detecting wiring faults and signalling them via LED, and offers an additional status LED on the Connector Unit. Attachments lock securely for safe use while the soft-component grip ensures easy removal when needed. Automatic Smart Attachment recognition enforces the maximum approved current and respects national charging limits.

How to use

Select the Smart Attachment that matches the socket type, insert it into the NRGkick Connector Unit until it engages securely, then plug the attachment into the socket and connect the NRGkick charging unit. The NRGkick will automatically recognise the attached adapter and set the maximum allowable charging current. Monitor the Connector Unit LED for status and fault indications; if the unit signals a fault or overheating, the device reduces or stops charging automatically.

Usage recommendations

Use only intact, correctly installed sockets and follow local electrical regulations. If the Connector Unit indicates a wiring fault or overheating, stop charging and have the socket inspected by a qualified electrician. Store attachments dry and clean when not in use; replace any attachment that shows physical damage.
