Fan NZXT RF-Q12SF-B2
The NZXT RF-Q12SF-B2 is a 120 mm computer case fan designed to deliver efficient cooling with low noise. With a rotational speed range of 500–1700 RPM and an airflow rating of 74.26 m³/h, the fan uses a Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) for extended life and quieter operation. Its compact dimensions (120 × 120 × 25 mm) and black finish make it suitable for most PC builds.
Nine sickle-style blades and a minimal blade-to-frame gap maximize air movement for intake or exhaust applications, while the chamfered frame concentrates airflow to reach deeper into the case. Fluid dynamic bearings provide a long service life (60,000 hours) and reduced acoustic output. PWM speed control enables automatic adjustment of fan speed according to system temperature, and rubberized corners plus a sturdy frame reduce vibration noise.
Install the fan into a compatible 120 mm fan slot in your PC case, orienting it for intake or exhaust according to your airflow plan. Connect the fan to a PWM-capable header on the motherboard or to a compatible fan controller so speed is regulated by system temperature. Secure the fan with screws and ensure cables are routed clear of other components and fans to avoid obstruction.
For balanced system airflow, combine the RF-Q12SF-B2 with complementary intake and exhaust fans. Use the motherboard’s PWM fan profile to maintain low noise at idle and increase cooling under load. Periodically check and clean dust from the blades and frame to preserve performance and lifespan.
