Harness Edelrid Sendero Mountaineering Sport climbing Drop seat buckle Size S
The Edelrid Sendero Mountaineering Sport climbing harness in size S is a lightweight, fully equipped all-round harness designed for mountaineering and sport climbing. It features a drop seat buckle for quick and easy adjustment, center-fit construction with sliding waist belt padding for a tailored fit, and larger, soft gear loops that compress for compact storage. Laminated attachment points for ice screw carabiners are integrated into the sit harness and the slightly larger central belay loop with HMPE-kernmantle construction improves comfort and durability. The harness is part of a bluesign®-certified collection and combines functional design with modern styling for versatile outdoor use.
The harness offers optimized fit control through its center-fit construction and sliding padding, allowing accurate positioning of the waist belt. The drop seat buckle enables fast adjustment without needing to remove other layers, while larger, ergonomically shaped gear loops simplify equipment handling and reduce bulk when packed. Laminated ice screw carabiner points increase reliability when placing technical protection and the reinforced HMPE-core belay loop enhances wear resistance and user comfort during prolonged suspension.
Put the harness on by stepping into the leg loops and pulling the waist belt up to the hips, positioning the waist belt padding centrally for an even fit. Use the drop seat buckle to adjust the harness quickly and securely; ensure the waist belt sits above the hip bones and tighten until snug but comfortable. Arrange and secure climbing gear on the larger gear loops, compressing them for storage if needed. Attach belay devices or carabiners to the central belay loop and use the laminated ice screw points when carrying screw-in protection. Before each climb, perform a full safety check of buckles, stitching, and attachment points.
Check the harness regularly for wear, abrasion, or damage, especially on the belay loop and attachment points. Store the harness dry and away from direct sunlight and chemicals. Replace the harness according to manufacturer guidelines or after significant loading, heavy falls, or visible damage.
