Scarpa DRAGO LV Climbing Shoes, White, Size 40
The Scarpa DRAGO LV in white is a high-performance climbing shoe engineered for advanced climbers who demand precision, sensitivity, and a secure fit. Designed with a low-volume profile, this shoe excels on steep terrain and complex bouldering problems. The construction utilizes a sophisticated blend of microfiber and leather, ensuring a comfortable fit that adapts to the foot's natural shape while maintaining the aggressive downturned geometry required for technical climbing.
The shoe features the advanced PCB-Tension system, which provides exceptional flexibility while maintaining the structural integrity of the downturned shape. The integration of the SRT system with M50 rubber allows for superior toe hooking capabilities, offering maximum grip and sensitivity across the entire forefoot. The PAF heel system further enhances performance by optimizing force distribution and reducing pressure on the Achilles tendon, ensuring a comfortable yet powerful fit. With a 3.5 mm Vibram XS GRIP 2 sole, climbers can rely on consistent adhesion and durability on both indoor walls and outdoor rock.
This model may not be suitable for beginners who are still developing foot strength, as the aggressive downturn and high sensitivity require a certain level of technical proficiency. Additionally, those with high-volume feet may find the low-volume fit too restrictive for extended sessions.
To use the Scarpa DRAGO LV, ensure the shoe is fitted snugly to your foot, utilizing the Velcro strap for precise tension adjustment. The internal elastic gusset assists in sliding the foot into the shoe. Once on, the aggressive shape will naturally encourage a powerful position on the wall, allowing for dynamic movements and precise placement on small holds. Ensure the heel is fully seated to take advantage of the PAF system's pressure distribution.
For optimal performance and longevity, we recommend resoling your shoes at an authorized SCARPA service center before the rubber wears down to the base material. Regularly cleaning the rubber surfaces helps maintain maximum friction on climbing holds.
