The Omnitronic MP-120 ELA mixing amplifier is a 19" rack-mount unit designed for fixed and mobile ELA (public address) installations. It accepts up to three microphone inputs and three line-level devices across six mixable channels, and provides outputs for 70 V and 100 V constant-voltage ELA loudspeakers as well as 4–16 Ω low-impedance speakers. A fan-cooled, Class A/B power stage delivers reliable performance with built-in protection circuits to prevent damage from overvoltage or short circuits.

How to use

Mount the MP-120 in a 19" rack and connect your loudspeaker lines to the appropriate 70 V, 100 V or low-impedance outputs according to your loudspeaker configuration. Connect microphones and line-level sources to the available inputs, then set individual channel levels and master volume. Use the front-panel mic input 3 with the priority control when a paging or announcement function is required; enable the gong if needed to signal the announcement. Switch on the amplifier and allow the switch-on delay to complete before applying full levels.

Usage recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, ensure adequate rack ventilation so the built-in fan can maintain cooling. Verify speaker wiring and impedance before powering up; if the FAULT LED lights, power down and check for short circuits or overcurrent conditions. Use balanced line-level connections where possible to reduce interference in longer cable runs.
