Cable Gland Onnline PG-7, IP68, for cable Ø 3.5–6 mm, gray
Cable Gland Onnline PG-7, IP68, for cable Ø 3.5–6 mm, gray
Onnline PG-7 cable gland with IP68 protection is designed to provide a sealed entry for electrical cables with diameters from 3.5 to 6 mm. The gray gland creates a durable, watertight and dustproof seal at enclosure entry points, helping to maintain the integrity of junction boxes, control cabinets and outdoor housings. It combines secure clamping and strain relief to reduce stress on cable terminations and preserve the enclosure's ingress protection rating.
The gland offers IP68-level protection against dust and prolonged immersion in water when installed correctly, and its construction ensures reliable cable retention and strain relief. Its compact PG-7 form factor fits standard threaded entries and is suitable for a range of insulating cable types within the stated diameter range. The neutral gray finish provides compatibility with many enclosure styles and reduces visual contrast when mounted.
Choose an appropriate hole with a matching PG-7 thread or compatible adapter in the enclosure. Insert the gland body into the threaded entry and screw it until properly seated. Pass the cable through the gland, then tighten the sealing nut to compress the internal sealing element around the cable within the specified 3.5–6 mm range. Ensure the cable is positioned correctly and that the sealing element is evenly compressed to achieve the stated IP68 performance. Avoid over-tightening which can damage the sealing components or the cable insulation.
Verify compatibility of cable outer diameter and insulation type before installation. For marine or long-term submerged applications, inspect seals periodically and replace the gland if any damage or loss of sealing performance is observed. Use correct thread size and sealing washers on the enclosure side if required to maintain overall ingress protection.
