Heat-Shrink Solder Seal Butt Connectors Onnline TTS-60 for 4.0–6.0 mm² wires
Onnline TTS-60 heat-shrink solder seal butt connectors are designed for creating sealed, mechanically and electrically reliable splices for 4.0–6.0 mm² conductors. Each connector combines a pre-placed solder ring with a heat-activated adhesive-lined polyolefin tube that shrinks to form insulation and moisture protection. The construction is intended to streamline repairs and installations where a compact, protected connection is required.
The integrated solder ring provides a consistent, low-resistance electrical joint while the heat-shrink tubing with internal adhesive seals against moisture and contaminants. These connectors reduce the need for separate crimping and sealing steps, offering a single-step heat application to complete the splice. Their size and design make them suitable for confined spaces and for applications where a durable, vibration-resistant joint is needed.
Strip the wire ends to the recommended length, insert each conductor into the connector so the conductor cores meet over the solder ring, and apply heat evenly around the connector using a heat gun or torch. Heat until the solder ring flows and the tubing visibly shrinks and the internal adhesive flows to form a continuous seal. Allow the joint to cool undisturbed before applying mechanical load or electrical power.
Use a regulated heat source and maintain even heating to avoid overheating insulation or nearby components. For best results, clean conductor strands before insertion and verify the conductor cross-section is within the 4.0–6.0 mm² range. When working in marine or high-humidity environments, ensure full adhesive flow to achieve proper moisture sealing.
