• Assembling metal frames, enclosures, and housings
• Securing panels, trims, and brackets

When it may not be suitable

These fasteners may not be suitable for heavy-duty structural applications that require high load-bearing steel bolts or industrial welding. They are also not recommended for joining extremely thick or dense materials where the 6 mm length is insufficient to form a proper blind head.

Key specifications

• Material: Aluminum
• Diameter: 3.2 mm
• Length: 6 mm
• Model: NZ-3.2X6*P50
• Brand: Opti

How to use

To use the Opti aluminum rivets, first ensure that the materials to be joined are correctly aligned and clamped together. Drill a hole matching the 3.2 mm diameter of the rivet through all layers. Insert the mandrel of the rivet into a compatible rivet gun, and place the rivet body through the pre-drilled hole. Squeeze the handles of the riveting tool until the mandrel snaps off, leaving the expanded rivet body securely locking the materials in place.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 3.2 x 6 mm dimensions match the thickness of the materials you intend to join
• Ensure you have a compatible riveting tool capable of handling 3.2 mm diameter fasteners
• Confirm that aluminum is the appropriate material for your specific environmental and load requirements

Usage recommendations: Store the rivets in a dry environment to prevent any surface oxidation before application. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, during the riveting process to protect against flying debris when the mandrel breaks.
