Projector Optoma ZU500USTe Ultra short throw
The Optoma ZU500USTe Ultra short throw is a compact, lamp-less DLP projector designed for tight spaces and continuous operation. It delivers 500 ANSI lumens of brightness, native WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution and a long-lasting DuraCore laser light source rated for up to 30,000 hours. With a fixed 3.7 mm ultra short throw lens (0.25:1 throw ratio) the projector can be mounted only inches from a wall and produce images over 100 inches, making it suitable for retail signage, shop windows and other confined installations.
The ZU500USTe reduces running costs through a lamp-less, filter-free design and an IP5X dust resistant optical engine for reliable, low-maintenance operation. Its lightweight body (about 12.5 lbs) and ultra short throw lens minimize shadows and allow flexible placement. Built-in four-corner correction and high native contrast provide sharp, well-proportioned images for both text and video, while Optoma’s color modes ensure accurate sRGB and vibrant display options.
Mount the ZU500USTe a few inches from the projection surface using a compatible ultra short throw bracket or shelf, ensuring the lens is aligned with the desired image area. Connect a video source via HDMI or use RS-232 for control integration. Power on and select an appropriate display mode for your content (for example sRGB for accurate color or a video mode for motion content). Use the four-corner correction to fine-tune geometry and adjust brightness or color settings as needed.
For long-term, maintenance-free operation, install the projector in a well-ventilated area and avoid placing it where heavy dust or airborne contaminants accumulate despite the IP5X rating. For interactive setups, position the projector close to the wall to reduce presenter shadows and use the built-in geometry controls to ensure a square image.
