ORBIS 180-2500/2022 Water Pump Pliers, 250 mm

The ORBIS 180-2500/2022 water pump pliers are a professional-grade hand tool engineered for precision and reliability in gripping and turning pipes, nuts, and various workpieces. With a total length of 250 mm, these pliers feature a robust construction that combines high-quality steel with ergonomic plastic handles, ensuring both durability and comfort during extended use. The adjustable jaw mechanism allows for quick adaptation to different sizes, making them an essential component for any professional toolkit or home workshop.

Advantages

These pliers offer exceptional performance due to their high-grade steel construction, which features an approximate blade hardness of HRC62 for long-lasting edge retention and wear resistance. The design provides high leverage, allowing users to apply significant force with minimal effort. The ergonomic plastic-coated handles ensure a secure and comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue during repetitive tasks. Furthermore, the tool complies with DIN ISO 8976 standards, guaranteeing consistent quality and safety in demanding industrial or household environments.

Suitable for

• Plumbing installations and pipe maintenance
• Mechanical repairs and automotive work
• Gripping and turning nuts or bolts
• General maintenance and assembly tasks
• Working with tubes up to 50 mm in diameter

When it may not be suitable

These pliers are not intended for use on live electrical components, as the handles do not provide certified insulation. Additionally, they may not be the optimal choice for extremely delicate surfaces where the aggressive grip of the steel jaws could cause cosmetic damage or deformation.

Key specifications

• Length: 250 mm
• Maximum tube diameter: 50 mm
• Material: Steel and plastic
• Hardness: Approximately HRC62
• Standard: DIN ISO 8976
• Weight: 0.330 kg

How to use

To use the pliers, press the adjustment button or slide the jaw mechanism to the desired opening width that matches the workpiece. Position the jaws around the pipe or nut, ensuring a firm contact on all gripping surfaces. Apply pressure to the handles to secure the grip, then rotate the tool in the required direction. Always ensure the jaws are fully engaged with the workpiece before applying maximum force to prevent slipping.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 250 mm length is appropriate for your workspace constraints.
• Ensure the 50 mm maximum capacity meets your specific pipe diameter requirements.
• Confirm that the tool is intended for mechanical use rather than electrical work.

Usage recommendations

Regularly clean the jaws to remove debris and apply a light coat of machine oil to the pivot point to maintain smooth adjustment and prevent corrosion. Store the tool in a dry environment to preserve the integrity of the steel components.
