Wireless motion sensor ORNO OR-MA-716, audible and light alarm, IP44, range 300 m, expandable to 16 sensors, up to 4 zones
ORNO OR-MA-716 is a wireless motion sensor with an integrated audible and light alarm designed for perimeter and indoor alerting. The device provides cable-free installation with IP44 protection against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1 mm. With a radio range up to 300 m in open field conditions, the sensor can operate as a stand‑alone alarm or as part of an expanded wireless system supporting up to 16 sensors and up to 4 configurable zones.
The sensor combines motion detection with a built-in siren and visual indicator, offering immediate local alerting when movement is detected. Its wireless communication enables flexible placement without the need for wiring, and the ability to expand to multiple sensors and zones allows tailored coverage of entrances, garages, yards, or temporary sites. IP44 rating ensures basic protection for outdoor use under normal weather conditions, while the device’s compatibility with zone assignment supports differentiated alarm behaviour across locations.
Place the ORNO OR-MA-716 sensor where it has an unobstructed view of the area to be monitored, typically 1.8–2.5 metres above the floor and angled to cover expected movement paths. Mount the housing using the included bracket or screws on a stable surface. Power on the unit and follow pairing steps with the receiver or control unit to assign the sensor to a desired zone. Test the detection range and alarm response by walking through the monitored area and adjust the sensor angle or mounting height if necessary.
For optimal performance, install the sensor away from direct sunlight, heating vents and reflective surfaces that may cause false triggers. When planning a multi-sensor setup, distribute sensors to avoid overlapping blind spots and assign zones to match access points or functional areas. Regularly test the system and check battery status according to the manufacturer’s maintenance guidance.
