PATCHBOX InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 1.8 m LC LC OM4 (CONE30OM411) is a 1.8 metre duplex fibre patch cable with LC connectors on both ends and OM4 multimode fibre. It is intended for high-speed data transmission in data centres, server racks and network patch panels. The cable supports InfiniBand and fibre-optic Ethernet links where low attenuation and higher bandwidth are required.
The OM4 multimode fibre provides improved bandwidth and longer reach compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, while LC connectors ensure a compact, industry-standard interface for dense patching. The cable is factory-terminated and ready to use, compatible with PATCHBOX modular cassette systems and standard LC ports, and designed for reliable insertion and removal in patch panels and cassettes.
Connect one LC connector to the source port and the other LC connector to the destination port, ensuring correct polarity for duplex links. Route the cable through the rack or fibre management to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress. For use with PATCHBOX cassettes, insert the LC connectors into the cassette adapter ports and secure the cable in the cassette’s routing channels as required.
Avoid bending the cable beyond the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius; keep connectors free of dust and use dust caps when not connected. Verify OM4 compatibility with your transceivers and equipment to achieve the expected performance.
