Field Plate (Peak Design PL-QS-1) is an Arca-type camera plate engineered for fast, tool-free attachment and removal. CNC-machined from anodized aluminum with stainless steel components and a compression-molded nonslip rubber pad, it offers a low-profile, durable interface for attaching cameras to Arca-compatible tripod heads and all Peak Design tripods. The plate includes a custom connection screw with a pop-up mechanism and four Anchor loops for use with Peak Design camera straps and Anchors.

How to use

Place the plate against the camera base aligning the 1/4"-20 screw with the camera’s tripod thread. Press the button to raise the connection screw, tighten by turning the thumb-drive handle until the plate is securely seated against the camera base, then release the button so the screw recesses when not needed. Attach the plate to an Arca-compatible tripod head or Peak Design tripod by sliding it into the quick-release clamp and locking the clamp according to your head’s mechanism. To use with Capture Camera Clip V3, insert and secure the plate into the clip per the clip’s instructions.

Usage recommendations

Do not attempt to reposition the plate using a sliding slot — the connection screw is fixed in the center of the plate. Regularly check the screw tightness and the rubber pad for wear; replace the plate if any components become damaged to ensure continued secure attachment.
