PGYTECH VND Filter for OSMO POCKET 3 and 4 2 to 5 Stops Aluminum Optical Glass

The PGYTECH VND Filter for OSMO POCKET 3 and 4 is a specialized optical accessory designed to manage exposure during video recording and photography. Providing a variable light reduction range from 2 to 5 stops, this filter effectively replaces four traditional neutral density filters ranging from ND4 to ND32. Built with a lightweight aluminum frame and high-quality optical glass, it ensures durability without adding significant weight or bulk to the camera gimbal. The integrated magnetic mount allows for quick and secure installation, while the protective multi-layer nano-coating guards against moisture, oil, dust, and physical scratches during field use.

Advantages

This variable neutral density filter offers seamless light adjustment through a simple rotating ring mechanism, allowing operators to adapt immediately to changing environmental illumination without interrupting the shooting process. By controlling the shutter speed and preventing overexposure in bright daylight, the filter helps generate natural motion blur for a professional cinematic aesthetic. The inclusion of premium AGC optical glass combined with specialized anti-reflective coatings ensures that the recorded footage retains accurate color fidelity, sharp clarity, and minimal optical distortion across all density levels.

Suitable for

• Filming outdoors in variable daylight conditions
• Creating cinematic videos with natural motion blur
• Controlling exposure and shutter speed on compatible pocket gimbals
• Reducing lens reflections and maintaining color accuracy

When it may not be suitable

This filter is not suitable for cameras or gimbals other than the specified Osmo Pocket 3 and Osmo Pocket 4 models. It may also not be appropriate for extremely dark environments or nighttime shooting where light reduction is entirely unnecessary and could result in underexposed footage.

Key specifications

• Light adjustment range of 2 to 5 stops
• Combines ND4, ND8, ND16, and ND32 density levels
• Aluminum frame construction with optical glass
• Magnetic mounting system
• Dimensions of 17 x 15.8 x 4 mm
• Weight of 1.67 g
• Compatible with Osmo Pocket 3 and Osmo Pocket 4

How to use

To use the filter, ensure the camera lens is clean and free of dust. Align the magnetic side of the filter with the lens of the Osmo Pocket camera, allowing it to snap securely into place. Once mounted, rotate the outer ring of the filter to adjust the light reduction level from 2 to 5 stops according to your current lighting requirements. To remove or switch the accessory, gently pull it away from the lens housing, utilizing the magnetic release design for fast handling.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your camera model matches the compatible Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Pocket 4
• Evaluate your primary recording environments to ensure a 2 to 5 stop range meets your exposure needs
• Confirm that magnetic attachment meets your preferred mounting method

Usage recommendations: Handle the optical glass surfaces with care and use a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints or smudged particles before mounting. Store the filter in a secure, dry case when not in use to protect the nano-coating and aluminum frame from accidental damage.
