Philips AVENT Natural Response SCD837/11 Newborn Bottle and Soother Gift Set with Responsive Nipple Design

The Philips AVENT Natural Response SCD837/11 Newborn Bottle and Soother Gift Set is a comprehensive starter kit designed to support your baby's individual drinking rhythm. Featuring decorated baby bottles and an ultra-air pacifier, this set offers reliable everyday feeding and soothing solutions for newborns. The unique natural response nipple works like a breast, releasing milk only when the baby actively drinks, which makes it easier to combine breast and bottle feeding while helping to reduce common feeding issues such as colic and spit-up.

Advantages

This feeding set is engineered to closely mimic natural breastfeeding mechanics, allowing your baby to drink, swallow, and breathe at their own natural pace. The innovative no-drip teat design helps prevent milk loss from the tip, ensuring milk is only released when the infant is actively feeding. An integrated anti-colic valve is designed to keep air away from your baby's tummy during feeding, reducing the likelihood of discomfort and gas. Additionally, the bottles are shaped for a comfortable grip from any angle and feature wide bottle necks that make filling and cleaning straightforward.

Suitable for

• Newborn feeding and daily hydration
• Combining breastfeeding and bottle feeding
• Soothing infants with an included pacifier
• Reducing colic and spit-up symptoms

When it may not be suitable

This product may not be suitable for infants who require a continuous free-flowing nipple without active sucking effort. Caregivers looking for glass bottles rather than lightweight materials may also need to consider alternative options.

Key specifications

• Natural Response Nipple design
• No-drip teat mechanism
• Anti-colic valve technology
• BPA-free materials
• Includes ultra air pacifier
• Compatible across the Philips AVENT product range

How to use

Before first use, disassemble all parts, wash thoroughly, and sterilize in boiling water for five minutes or use a designated sterilizer. Inspect the nipple before each feed by pulling it in all directions to check for wear. When feeding, ensure the baby is latched correctly onto the wide, breast-shaped nipple. Allow the infant to drink at their natural rhythm. Always test the milk temperature on the inside of your wrist before offering the bottle to the baby.

What to consider before purchase

• Baby's adjustment period to the responsive nipple flow
• Compatibility with other Philips AVENT feeding accessories
• Material composition and safety standards
• Appropriate teat flow rate for the baby's current age and feeding speed

Usage recommendations: Allow your baby time to adjust to the responsive nipple design, as it requires active participation similar to breastfeeding. Ensure all components are regularly checked and replaced at the first signs of damage or wear for optimal hygiene and safety.
