Phoenix Contact ST 16 BU Terminal Block, 2-Position, Blue
The Phoenix Contact ST 16 BU is a professional-grade feed-through terminal block engineered for secure and reliable electrical connections in demanding industrial environments. Utilizing advanced spring-cage connection technology, this component ensures consistent contact pressure and excellent vibration resistance, making it an ideal choice for critical control cabinets and power distribution systems. Its robust design supports a wide range of wire cross-sections, providing versatility for various electrical installation requirements.
The terminal block features a double bridge shaft that facilitates individual chain bridging, allowing for efficient power distribution across multiple terminals. This design also supports the reduction of bridging to spring-cage terminal blocks with smaller cross-sections, enhancing the flexibility of the overall wiring architecture. As part of the CLIPLINE complete system, it integrates seamlessly with a wide range of accessories, ensuring a modular and scalable approach to complex electrical panel builds.
This terminal block is designed for specific DIN rail mounting and may not be suitable for applications requiring direct chassis mounting or non-standard rail sizes. It is also not intended for high-frequency signal transmission where specialized shielded connectors are required.
To install the terminal block, snap it onto a compatible NS 35/7,5 or NS 35/15 DIN rail. Strip the insulation from your conductor according to the specified length, then insert the wire into the spring-cage opening using a standard screwdriver to actuate the spring mechanism. Ensure the wire is fully seated to guarantee a secure connection. For bridging, insert the appropriate bridge component into the double bridge shaft to connect adjacent terminals as needed.
Usage recommendations: Always ensure that the power supply is disconnected before performing any wiring or maintenance tasks. Use appropriate wire ferrules for stranded conductors to ensure optimal contact quality and long-term reliability.
