AV transmitter PLANET IHD-210PT
The PLANET IHD-210PT is an AV transmitter designed to deliver Full HD 1080p HDMI video over IP networks using Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Compact and PoE-capable, it pairs with the IHD-210PR receiver to distribute HDMI sources across a LAN with support for HDMI 1.4a, RS-232 pass-through and IR control. The unit supports automatic EDID copy and HDCP, enabling consistent video and audio quality for remote displays while simplifying cabling and installation.
The IHD-210PT provides reliable 1080p video distribution over up to 100 m using standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables and can be powered via PoE to reduce extra power wiring. It supports bi-directional IR and RS-232 pass-through for remote control of source devices, automatic EDID copying to ensure proper display communication, and compatibility with IGMP snooping-enabled networks for efficient multicast distribution. The compact design and HDMI Local Output make source checking and rack integration straightforward.
Connect the HDMI source to the IHD-210PT HDMI input and link the transmitter to the LAN using a Cat5e or Cat6 cable to the PoE-enabled switch or provide a 5 V power supply if PoE is not used. Configure channel/group ID via the DIP switches to match corresponding IHD-210PR receivers and verify output using the HDMI Local Output. For remote control of sources, connect the supplied IR cable and use RS-232 when serial control is required. When using multicast, ensure IGMP snooping is enabled on network switches and set channels as needed for one-to-many distribution.
Use PoE-capable switches with IGMP snooping and 802.1Q VLAN support for scalable, efficient distribution. Keep Cat5e/Cat6 cable runs within the specified 100 m limit and use quality cables and connectors to maintain 1080p signal integrity. If displays exhibit EDID-related issues, use the automatic EDID copy feature to synchronize EDID information from the target display.
