ADF Scanner Plustek SmartOffice PT2160
The Plustek SmartOffice PT2160 ADF scanner is designed for office workgroups to streamline document processing. It combines a 100-sheet automatic document feeder, dual CIS sensors and an optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi to handle a wide range of media including passports, ID cards, business cards, folded A3 and long documents up to 216 x 5080 mm. The unit supports a high daily duty cycle and offers robust feeding controls including a dedicated switch to change between sheetfed and automatic document feeding modes.
Reversible friction rollers improve paper separation and feeding stability to reduce multi-feeds and errors when scanning mixed batches of documents and cards. A thickness switch adapts to different paper types to prevent damage to thin sheets and reduce the risk of jams. Built-in image processing features include Auto Threshold, Auto Rotate, Auto Crop & Deskew, Auto Mode, Multi-Image Output, Color Dropout and Blank Page Removal to simplify scanning workflows and produce consistent results.
Place documents in the 100-sheet ADF and select the appropriate feeding mode using the dedicated switch: sheetfed for single or delicate items and automatic document feeding for standard batches. Adjust the thickness switch according to media type to avoid jams and damage. Select desired image processing options (Auto Mode, Auto Rotate, Auto Crop & Deskew, etc.) in the scanner software before scanning. For passports or thick items, ensure they are positioned correctly and use the sheetfed mode if required.
For consistent results, use the thickness switch when scanning mixed paper weights and enable Auto Mode and Auto Crop & Deskew in software. Regularly clean the rollers and sensors according to the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions to maintain feed reliability and image quality.
