How to use

Use an appropriate 3D printer setup for ABS. For small prints (smaller than a fist) a non‑enclosed printer capable of reaching a 90°C bed and up to 260°C nozzle temperature may be sufficient. For larger parts use an enclosed printer with a build chamber around 40–50°C. Very large models (approximately over 15–20 cm in any dimension) benefit from an actively heated chamber (~70°C or higher). Ensure good bed adhesion — adhesives or surfaces such as Magigoo or BuildTak are recommended. Adjust retraction settings based on your extruder type: direct drive typically works with 1 mm retraction at 20 mm/s; Bowden/indirect drive often requires ~3 mm retraction at 40 mm/s.

Usage recommendations

Printing settings: nozzle temperature 245–265°C, bed temperature 90–100°C, print speed 30–50 mm/s, part cooling fan off. Dry filament at 70°C for 6 hours if it has absorbed moisture. Acetone smoothing is possible but handle acetone with proper safety precautions; consider Polymaker PolySmooth as a safer alternative for achieving smooth surfaces.
