PowerWalker VFI 5000 EVS UPS Double-conversion 5 kVA 5000 W
The PowerWalker VFI 5000 EVS UPS Double-conversion 5 kVA 5000 W is an online double-conversion uninterruptible power supply designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment and mission-critical systems. With a rated output power of 5000 W (5 kVA) and sealed lead acid batteries, this unit delivers continuous, regulated output independent of input mains conditions. The UPS supports active cooling and multiple outlet types, and its charger is compatible with traditional lead-acid batteries as well as lithium battery packs, enabling extended runtime when paired with appropriate external battery systems.
Double-conversion topology provides consistent, clean sine-wave output that isolates connected equipment from mains disturbances such as surges, sags and frequency variations. Built-in active cooling helps maintain thermal stability under sustained loads. The robust AC charger supports fast recharging and compatibility with lithium battery systems for longer backup times. The unit’s compact black enclosure and a weight of approximately 14.2 kg simplify rack or floor placement in small to medium installations. Parallel operation of up to nine units allows capacity scaling and redundancy for larger deployments.
Install the UPS on a stable, well-ventilated surface or in a compatible rack according to the manufacturer’s installation guidelines. Connect the UPS input to a dedicated mains circuit with appropriate circuit protection. Install and connect battery packs or external LiFe battery system if extended runtime is required, following safety instructions and polarity markings. Connect critical loads to the UPS output outlets, ensuring combined load does not exceed the rated 5000 W output. Configure any network or local monitoring options provided by the UPS for alarm notifications and graceful shutdown procedures. Perform initial charge cycles after installation to ensure batteries reach full capacity.
For reliable long-term operation, allow sufficient ventilation around the unit, schedule periodic battery checks and replace batteries according to their service life. When deploying multiple units in parallel, follow the manufacturer’s synchronization and commissioning procedures to ensure balanced load sharing and redundancy. Use the UPS with a stable mains feed and surge protection upstream where possible, and consult the PowerWalker documentation for compatibility details when integrating lithium battery packs or configuring three-phase setups.
