A Line-Interactive UPS provides backup power and automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to protect sensitive IT and household equipment from voltage fluctuations. The AVR function corrects overvoltage and undervoltage by lowering voltage during surges and raising it during sags, reducing the risk of damage and avoiding interruptions. The UPS includes a USB (RS-232) interface for monitoring voltage, power and battery status from compatible operating systems and is intended for medium-cost applications with moderate load levels.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) stabilizes mains voltage without using the battery when input remains within approximately 70–90% to 110–125% of nominal, which helps extend battery life. When voltage goes beyond those limits, the unit switches to battery mode to maintain uninterrupted power to connected devices. The USB monitoring interface enables real-time status checks and simple integration with monitoring software. Cold-start capability and a green power function provide added flexibility and energy efficiency.
Connect the UPS between the mains outlet and the equipment to be protected, then connect the USB cable to a computer for monitoring if required. Under normal mains conditions AVR will regulate voltage automatically; if mains voltage exceeds safe limits the UPS will switch to battery power to supply the connected devices. Use the monitoring software to view voltage, power and battery status and perform orderly shutdowns if battery runtime becomes low.
Place the UPS in a ventilated, dry location, avoid exposing it to high temperatures and ensure regular testing of battery status. For critical loads, verify runtime and consider higher-capacity units or additional battery packs.
