HDMI Full HD extender over single Cat6 cable 50 m, PREMIUMCORD khext50-7
HDMI Full HD extender over single Cat6 cable 50 m, PREMIUMCORD khext50-7
PREMIUMCORD HDMI Full HD extender khext50-7 transmits HDMI 1080p signal up to 50 meters over a single Cat6 cable. The kit includes a transmitter and receiver that connect with one Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7 UTP cable and extend digital HDMI audio and video where direct HDMI cabling is impractical. The extender supports Full HD resolutions and common refresh rates, uses HDMI connectors for source and display, and is powered via supplied micro-USB cables. It is designed for AV distribution in home setups, meeting rooms, classrooms and digital signage installations.
The extender delivers Full HD 1080p video and multichannel digital audio over a single Ethernet cable while maintaining HDMI compatibility (HDMI 1.3) and HDCP 1.3 support. It offers a 225 MHz bandwidth with an effective data rate up to 10.2 Gbps and supports common resolutions including 480i/p, 576i/p, 720p and 1080i/p at standard refresh rates. The pair is compact and lightweight, includes reset buttons on both units and allows power over Ethernet (PoE) so only one unit needs external USB power while the other is powered through the UTP link.
Connect the transmitter HDMI male to the HDMI source (PC, Blu-ray player or set-top box) and the receiver HDMI female to the display with a standard HDMI cable. Use a single Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7 UTP cable with RJ45 connectors to link the transmitter and receiver directly — do not route through switches, routers or other active network devices. Plug the supplied micro-USB to USB-A cables into the micro-USB power ports on the units and into a USB power source; if PoE is used, provide power to only one unit and the second will be powered through the UTP cable. Use the reset buttons on the units if a restart is required.
For reliable transmission, use high-quality stranded or solid Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7 cable with proper RJ45 terminations and keep the cable run direct and uninterrupted. Avoid connecting the extender units to active LAN infrastructure. Ensure USB power source delivers stable 5V and test the link at the chosen resolution to confirm signal integrity over the 50 m run.
