Monitor controller PreSonus MonitorStation V2 — desktop stereo monitoring controller with speaker and source selection
PreSonus MonitorStation V2 is a desktop stereo monitoring controller designed for professional and home studios. The unit provides hands-on control of stereo monitoring with precise level adjustment, speaker selection and source switching. It centralizes monitoring tasks to simplify referencing, A/B comparisons and quick switching between multiple input sources and paired speaker systems without changing cabling.
The MonitorStation V2 offers tactile control with dedicated knobs and switches for accurate level control, mute and dim functions, and selection of up to four stereo sources and three pairs of monitor speakers. Its compact desktop form factor is suitable for nearfield monitoring and integrates with studio signal chains while keeping signal routing clear and reliable. The front-panel headphone section supports independent volume control and source selection for critical listening and client monitoring.
Connect your stereo sources and monitor speaker pairs to the corresponding inputs and outputs on the rear panel. Use the source selector to choose the active input and the speaker selector to route audio to the desired monitor pair. Adjust the main level knob for overall listening level and use mute or dim to temporarily reduce output for quick checks. For headphone monitoring, select the headphone source and set the headphone level independently to match critical listening requirements.
Place the MonitorStation V2 within easy reach on your desk for rapid switching during sessions. Calibrate monitor levels at a reference listening level before critical mixing or mastering, and use the speaker selection to compare mixes across different monitors and headphones for consistent translation.
