Thermal Label Printer Printronix T6E2X6 — 203 dpi, USB, RS232, Ethernet
Printronix T6E2X6 is a thermal transfer label printer with 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) resolution, designed for reliable label and barcode printing in logistics, retail and manufacturing environments. It supports media up to 172.7 mm wide with a maximum print width of 166 mm and accepts rolls up to 203 mm in diameter. The printer offers multiple interfaces — USB, RS232 and Ethernet — and includes 512 MB RAM and 128 MB flash memory. The package contains an internal power supply and an EU power cable. The device features Black Mark and Gap sensors for accurate media detection and is suitable for integration into POS and automation systems.
The Printronix T6E2X6 delivers consistent 203 dpi print quality suitable for barcodes and shipping labels, with fast throughput up to 305 mm/s. Multiple connectivity options (USB, RS232, Ethernet) enable flexible integration into existing networks and equipment. Onboard memory (512 MB RAM, 128 MB flash) supports complex label formats and buffering, while internal power supply and included EU cable simplify installation. Built-in Black Mark and Gap sensors improve media detection across different label types.
Install the printer on a stable surface and connect the EU power cable to a suitable mains outlet. Load thermal transfer ribbons and media rolls according to the user manual, ensuring the roll diameter does not exceed 203 mm and media width fits within 172.7 mm. Connect the printer to a host via USB, RS232 or Ethernet, install the appropriate driver or configure network settings, and test-print a label to confirm alignment and sensor detection. Adjust print speed and darkness through the printer settings for optimal barcode readability and print longevity.
For consistent barcode readability, use labels and ribbons recommended for thermal transfer printing, keep sensors clean from adhesive residue, and verify print settings (speed, darkness) after changing media types. When integrating into networks, assign a static IP or reserve an address to ensure stable communication with POS and automation systems.
