Heat Sink Compound Prolimatech PK-2 10.2 W/m·K 30 g
Prolimatech PK-2 10.2 W/m·K 30 g is a low-viscosity thermal compound formulated for efficient heat transfer between heat-generating components and heat sinks. With a rated thermal conductivity of 10.2 W/m·K and a 30 g supply, this thermal paste is designed to fill microscopic surface imperfections while forming a thin, consistent interface layer that improves cooling performance and system stability in high-performance computing and gaming systems.
The PK-2 compound combines relatively high thermal conductivity with low viscosity to enable easy, controlled application and rapid wetting of surfaces. Its low-viscosity formulation helps create an even, thin thermal interface that minimizes thermal resistance without requiring excessive quantity. Supplied in a 30 g amount, it is suitable for multiple applications and reapplications.
Before application, ensure both surfaces (CPU/GPU and heatsink base) are clean and free of old thermal compound, dust, and oils. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of PK-2 to the center of the die or use a thin line for larger IHS surfaces. Mount the heatsink and secure it according to the manufacturer’s instructions so the compound spreads into a thin, continuous layer. If necessary, remove and reapply during maintenance, cleaning surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth before each reapplication.
Use minimal amounts to achieve a thin, evenly spread layer; avoid over-application which can increase thermal resistance. Store the tube in a cool, dry place and keep the cap closed to prevent contamination and drying. For best results, follow the heatsink manufacturer’s mounting sequence and torque recommendations when securing the cooler.
