Thermal paste PROLIMATECH PK-3 1.5 g — thermal conductivity 11.2 W/m·K
PROLIMATECH PK-3 is a high-performance thermal interface compound supplied in a 1.5 g tube and engineered to improve thermal contact between CPUs, GPUs and heatsinks. With a rated thermal conductivity of 11.2 W/m·K, the paste fills microscopic surface irregularities to reduce thermal resistance and improve heat transfer efficiency in compact applications where only a small quantity of thermal paste is required.
PK-3 uses a formulation of engineered nano-particles that conform to uneven surfaces, reducing air gaps and increasing contact area between the heat source and cooling solution. Its relatively high thermal conductivity supports lower operating temperatures under load compared with generic compounds, while the small 1.5 g tube is convenient for single builds, upgrades or work on compact systems. The consistency balances ease of application with secure thermal contact after seating the cooler.
Clean both mating surfaces thoroughly to remove old compound, dust and oils using appropriate solvents or isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Apply a small amount of PK-3 to the centre of the processor or chip — for most CPUs a pea-sized dot or thin line is sufficient — then mount the heatsink and fasten it according to the cooler manufacturer’s instructions to spread the compound evenly. For GPUs or irregular surfaces, apply an amount that will be fully compressed by the heatsink to avoid excess overflow. Reapply whenever you remove the cooler or after extended service intervals.
Use only the necessary amount to form a thin continuous layer between surfaces; excessive compound can reduce performance or cause cleanup issues. Store the tube capped and in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Follow standard electrostatic discharge precautions when handling internal components.
