Knife sharpener Proline 30011 — manual countertop sharpener, 1 piece
Proline 30011 is a manual countertop knife sharpener designed as a single-piece unit for restoring and maintaining cutting edges on kitchen and utility knives. The compact design fits on a worktop for quick, repeatable sharpening tasks and combines three dedicated sharpening gaps to cover coarse re-profiling, medium-angle sharpening and fine honing. A non-slip coated handle and base improve stability during use, making it suitable for home kitchens and light professional environments where a simple, portable sharpener is required.
The three-stage sharpening system includes a diamond-coated slot for both steel and ceramic blades, a tungsten carbide (TCT) slot for aggressive material removal and edge re-profiling, and a ceramic slot for fine finishing and polishing of the bevel. The single-piece countertop format requires no assembly and is easy to store. Anti-slip coatings on the handle and base reduce movement during sharpening and increase user control. The manual operation allows fast touch-ups without power, making the tool portable and convenient for occasional sharpening needs.
Place the sharpener on a flat, stable surface and hold the handle firmly with one hand. Select the appropriate slot based on the blade condition: start with the tungsten carbide (TCT) slot for dull or nicked edges to re-profile, move to the diamond-coated slot for steel or ceramic blades when medium sharpening is required, and finish with the ceramic slot to hone and polish the edge. Draw the knife blade through the selected slot from heel to tip using light, even pressure and maintain a consistent angle; repeat as needed until the desired sharpness is reached. Wipe the blade clean after sharpening to remove any residue.
For best results, inspect blade condition before choosing a slot: use the TCT slot only for significantly dull edges, and avoid excessive force to prevent removing too much material. Use the diamond-coated slot when working with ceramic blades or hardened steels, and finish with the ceramic slot to restore a refined cutting edge. Store the sharpener in a dry place and clean the unit periodically by wiping the exterior; avoid submerging in water.
