The Proline Tools 89455 angle grinder accessory is a 125 mm grinding pad designed for use on natural stone surfaces including marble and granite. It attaches to the grinder with a velcro fastener and is suitable for both dry and wet grinding operations. The accessory is intended for smoothing cut edges, chamfering, and refining flat surfaces to prepare stone for further finishing steps.
This 125 mm pad provides uniform contact with the work surface and is compatible with a sequence of grit overlays to achieve progressive material removal and finishing. The velcro fastening system allows quick replacement and secure attachment during operation. Its design supports both wet and dry use, giving flexibility depending on the working environment and the stage of the finishing process.
Attach the pad to the angle grinder using the velcro fastener, ensuring it is centered and securely fixed before starting the tool. Begin work with a lower-numbered overlay (coarser grit) and progress through finer grits for smoother results. For best results on natural stone, follow a sequence from the largest grit size indicated on overlays down to the finest, and apply water when wet grinding to reduce dust and improve cooling. Maintain light, even pressure and consistent movement to avoid gouging the surface.
To achieve optimal results on marble and granite, start with the coarsest overlay and move progressively to finer grits; for gloss polishing finish with BUFF overlays. Use wet grinding where possible to extend pad life and minimize dust.
