Flower balcony planter Prosperplast Boardee with self-watering system, grey, 60 cm
Prosperplast Boardee is a 60 cm balcony flower planter in grey with an integrated self-watering system, designed for container gardening on balconies, terraces and window ledges. The planter is made of durable plastic and features a built-in water reservoir and overflow indicator to help maintain consistent moisture for flowers, herbs and small ornamentals. Its compact length and neutral colour make it suitable for a wide range of outdoor and semi-outdoor settings where simple, low-maintenance irrigation is desired.
The integrated self-watering system reduces the need for frequent manual watering by storing water in an internal reservoir and supplying it to the substrate as required. A visible overflow indicator signals when the reservoir is full, preventing overfilling. The lightweight plastic construction is weather-resistant and easy to clean, while the 60 cm length provides ample planting space without occupying excessive balcony rail or ledge area. The planter can be used freestanding on ledges, mounted on rails with compatible brackets, or used together with pots placed inside the container.
Place the planter on a stable balcony rail, ledge or other surface or attach it using compatible mounting brackets if rail installation is required. Add a layer of drainage material if desired, then fill with suitable potting mix and position plants or pots inside the container. Fill the water reservoir through the designated filling opening until the overflow indicator signals full. Monitor the indicator and refill the reservoir as needed; the self-watering system will supply moisture to the substrate between refills. Clean the planter and check the reservoir periodically to prevent blockages and ensure proper drainage.
Use a well-draining universal potting mix for best results and avoid heavy garden soils. For herbs and small ornamentals, position the planter where it receives the appropriate light for the selected plants. During hot periods, check the reservoir level more frequently. If mounting on a rail, verify that brackets are compatible with the planter width and that the rail can support the combined weight of planter, substrate and plants.
