Advantages

This cylinder lock stands out due to its high-quality brass composition, which provides excellent structural integrity and reliability. The precision-engineered mechanism ensures smooth key operation and consistent locking performance over time. Its standard 30/30 profile makes it a versatile choice for a wide range of mortise locks, simplifying the replacement process for maintenance or security upgrades. The durable black coating is specifically applied to maintain its appearance while protecting the metal surface from environmental factors.

Suitable for

• Residential entrance doors
• Interior office doors
• Commercial property security
• Replacement of standard 30/30 profile cylinders

This cylinder may not be suitable for doors requiring specialized high-security features, such as anti-drill or anti-snap reinforcements, if your security requirements exceed standard residential protection. It is also not compatible with doors that require asymmetric cylinder dimensions or those designed for non-standard locking mechanisms.

Key specifications

• Material: Brass
• Finish: Black
• Profile: 30/30
• Compatibility: Standard mortise locks

To install the cylinder, first remove the existing fixing screw located on the faceplate of the door lock. Insert the key into the cylinder to align the cam, then slide the cylinder into the mortise opening. Once positioned correctly, reinsert and tighten the fixing screw through the door edge to secure the cylinder in place. Test the locking and unlocking mechanism with the door open before final operation.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the required cylinder dimensions (30/30) for your specific door thickness
• Ensure the mortise lock mechanism is compatible with standard profile cylinders
• Check if the black finish matches your existing door hardware

For optimal longevity, avoid using heavy lubricants inside the cylinder. If the key operation becomes stiff, use a specialized graphite-based lubricant designed for lock mechanisms to maintain smooth performance.
