PULSAR POE Extender EXT-POE2 — PoE extender for 2 IP cameras
PULSAR POE Extender EXT-POE2 is a compact PoE extender engineered to power and extend Ethernet connectivity for two IP cameras. The unit receives a Power over Ethernet feed and repeats both power and data to two separate camera endpoints, allowing CCTV and IP surveillance systems to reach beyond standard Ethernet distance limitations. Designed for installations where PoE switches or injectors cannot be placed close to cameras, the extender supports centralized power distribution and flexible cable routing for two-camera setups.
The extender enables longer cable runs by repeating PoE power and Ethernet signals to two cameras from a single upstream PoE source. Its compact design simplifies installation in junction boxes, cabinets, or near camera mounts, reducing the need for additional power supplies at each camera location. The device provides a straightforward solution for extending network reach while maintaining continuous power delivery and minimizing additional wiring and equipment.
Connect an upstream PoE-enabled Ethernet cable from a PoE switch or injector to the extender's input port. Route two Ethernet cables from the extender's output ports to the individual IP cameras. Ensure connectors are secure and cable runs conform to installation standards for distance and environmental protection. Verify that the upstream PoE source can supply sufficient power budget for both connected cameras and confirm network connectivity and camera power after installation.
Install the extender in a sheltered location or an appropriate enclosure to protect it from moisture and extreme temperatures. Use quality Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher) and keep individual cable runs within recommended length limits for reliable data and power delivery. Check power requirements of connected cameras and use a PoE source with adequate power budget to avoid power drop or intermittent operation.
