Softbox Puluz PU5120 studio lighting modifier, 200×160×200 mm, black/white
Puluz PU5120 is a compact rectangular softbox designed for studio and location photography. The unit measures 200×160×200 mm and features a black exterior with a white interior diffuser, providing softened, even light ideal for close‑up product shots, tabletop scenes and portraiture in small spaces. The softbox mounts to compatible speedlights or small continuous lights and modifies the light output to reduce harsh shadows and highlights while preserving directionality.
The Puluz PU5120 softbox produces a uniform, diffused light field that reduces contrast and softens shadow edges without significantly increasing light spill. Its compact rectangular shape concentrates light for controlled illumination of small subjects and tight setups. The black outer fabric minimizes light leakage while the white inner surface enhances reflective efficiency. Lightweight and portable, it is suitable for quick on‑location setups as well as confined studio workspaces.
Attach the softbox to a compatible speedlight or small continuous lamp following the mounting method of your light (adapter or bracket may be required). Position the softbox close to the subject to maximize softening effect and control falloff; move it farther away to broaden coverage. Adjust camera exposure and light power to compensate for diffusion losses. Angle the softbox to shape shadows and highlights according to your composition.
For best results with product and tabletop photography, keep the softbox within 30–60 cm of the subject to maintain soft shadows and pronounced wraparound light. Use grids or flags on nearby surfaces if additional light control is needed. When using battery‑powered speedlights, increase power or reduce distance to retain adequate exposure after diffusion.
