The TS-253E is a 2-bay NAS with dual 2.5GbE network interfaces, 8GB onboard RAM, M.2 NVMe SSD slots for cache, and dual HDMI outputs. Powered by an Intel® Celeron® J6412 quad-core processor (burst up to 2.6 GHz) with AES‑NI encryption, it is designed for use as a surveillance recorder, virtual machine host, file server, or backup server. QNAP provides long-term availability and support, making the TS-253E suitable for deployments across multiple locations.

For virtualization, set up Virtualization Station or Container Station to deploy VMs and containers. Configure Hybrid Backup Sync, snapshots, and QuDedup for backup and disaster recovery workflows. Enable security features such as 2-step verification, firewall rules, and QVPN as required.
