Qoltec 51647 heat sink compound is a silver-coloured thermal paste formulated to improve heat transfer between processors and cooling bases. With a thermal conductivity of 3.17 W/m·K and thermal resistance of 0.067 °C/W, this 5 g tube provides a thin, conductive interface that fills micro-gaps and contact irregularities to reduce operating temperatures. The compound is electrically insulating while offering efficient thermal conduction and is presented in a single-unit pack for small repairs or upgrades.
The thermal paste combines relatively high thermal conductivity with stable insulating properties to ensure safe and efficient heat dissipation. Its consistency allows easy and accurate application on CPU or heatsink surfaces, and the formulation maintains performance over extended periods without rapid drying or degradation. The compact 5 g amount is suitable for occasional maintenance or targeted thermal optimisation tasks.
Clean both contact surfaces thoroughly to remove old paste, dust and grease, using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of Qoltec 51647 to the centre of the processor or component surface, then mount the heatsink and allow the pressure to spread the compound into a thin, even layer. For larger surfaces or uneven contact areas, spread the paste evenly with a flat applicator before fitting the cooler. Reapply paste when removing the heatsink for maintenance or after prolonged use if thermal performance declines.
Store the product at room temperature in a dry place and avoid freezing. Use the tube within a reasonable time after opening to prevent contamination; discard if consistency or colour changes. Apply only a thin layer—excessive paste can impede heat transfer. Keep out of reach of children and avoid contact with skin and eyes; follow local disposal regulations for chemical waste.
