Thermal paste QOLTEC 51656, thermal conductivity 5.15 W/m·K, 5 g, grey
QOLTEC 51656 is a grey thermal paste designed to improve heat transfer between processors, graphics chips and their cooling solutions. With a thermal conductivity of 5.15 W/m·K and low thermal resistance (approximately 0.004 °C/W), this compound fills microscopic gaps at the interface to reduce operating temperatures. Supplied in a 5 g tube, the product is suitable for desktop and laptop CPUs, GPUs and other small electronic components that require an efficient thermal interface material.
The paste combines relatively high thermal conductivity with electrical insulation, enabling reliable heat conduction without creating conductive paths. It spreads easily and consistently to fill micro-gaps between contact surfaces. QOLTEC 51656 maintains its properties over extended use and does not require frequent replacement under normal operating conditions. Its grey colour makes application and coverage verification straightforward.
Clean both mating surfaces thoroughly to remove old paste, dust and grease using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of QOLTEC 51656 to the centre of the processor or component. Mount the heatsink or cooler and apply even pressure to spread the compound; avoid excessive re-positioning once contact is made. After installation, verify proper seating of the cooler and monitor temperatures during initial operation to ensure correct thermal performance.
For best results, use a thin, even layer of thermal paste and avoid over-application, which can reduce cooling efficiency. Store the tube capped in a cool, dry place and avoid contamination of the nozzle. Replace the paste if the cooler is removed for maintenance or if thermal performance degrades over time.
