Premium fine porcelain made from kaolin, clay, feldspar and quartz, fired at 1230°C. The product has passed the water absorption standard test BS EN 1217. Not suitable for use in dishwashers and microwaves if decorated with gold or platinum, as such decorations are sensitive to sudden temperature changes. The porcelain is lead- and cadmium-free and has been tested for metal leaching in accordance with US FDA, California Proposition 65 and EU Directive 84/500/EEC. The items are designed to withstand thermal shock and cracking and are tested to tolerate sudden temperature changes in the range from room temperature to 100–200°C.

How to use

Use the porcelain for serving and dining at normal household temperatures. Avoid exposing items with gold or platinum decoration to dishwashers or microwaves. To minimise thermal stress, do not transfer pieces directly between extreme temperatures (for example, from freezer or cold water straight into a hot oven). Clean gently with mild detergent and a soft cloth or sponge.

Recommendations

Store items on stable shelving and handle decorated pieces with caution. For decorated products, hand washing and avoiding rapid temperature changes will prolong the life of the decoration.
