Rackmount Rackmount.IT Meraki GX50 MX67 Series with Media Converter - Rackmount network appliance mounting kit

Rackmount mounting kit designed for Meraki GX50 and MX67 Series devices, including an integrated media converter. This rackmount accessory provides a compact and secure solution to install compatible Meraki network appliances into a standard 19-inch server rack, while offering built-in media conversion to bridge fiber and copper connections. Suitable for data centers, branch offices and network closets where a stable rack installation and media conversion are required.

Advantages

The kit combines a robust metal mounting bracket with an integrated media converter, reducing the need for separate adapters and saving rack space. It secures Meraki GX50 and MX67 Series devices in standard racks, keeping cabling organized and minimizing strain on device ports. Integrated media conversion supports uplinks that require fiber-to-copper or copper-to-fiber translation, simplifying network topology and reducing component count.

Suitable for

• Mounting Meraki GX50 appliances in a 19" server rack
• Installing Meraki MX67 Series devices in limited rack space
• Converting fiber uplinks to copper connections in branch offices
• Organizing network appliances in data center racks and network closets

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Designed for Meraki GX50 and MX67 Series form factors
• Mounting: Standard 19-inch rack compatible bracket
• Material: Steel mounting bracket with corrosion-resistant finish
• Media conversion: Integrated fiber-to-copper media converter module supporting common fiber transceiver types and copper Ethernet ports
• Dimensions: Compact profile to minimize occupied rack units (fits typical 1U/half-depth appliances)
• Cable management: Rear and side cable access for organized routing and reduced port strain
• Cooling: Open frame design to maintain device airflow and passive ventilation

How to use

Install the mounting bracket into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts. Secure the Meraki GX50 or MX67 Series device into the bracket following the alignment points on the bracket. Connect the media converter ports to the appropriate fiber or copper uplink and ensure transceiver modules (if required) are properly seated. Route power and network cables through the provided cable access points to avoid bending or stressing connectors. Verify that the device is powered and reachable on the network and confirm media conversion is functioning by testing link status and throughput across the converted link.

Usage recommendations

Use certified transceiver modules compatible with the media converter and follow Meraki device mounting guidelines. Allow adequate airflow around the mounted device and avoid stacking additional heat-generating equipment directly above the appliance. Periodically inspect cable terminations and rack mount fasteners to ensure ongoing mechanical stability and reliable network connectivity.
