The RAIDSONIC ICY BOX IB-RD3640SU3 is a 4-bay HDD enclosure for 3.5" SATA drives that supports multiple RAID levels and hot-swap operation. It connects to a host system via USB 3.0 or eSATA with up to 5 Gbit/s transfer rate, and its tool-free drive bays allow quick installation and replacement of drives without screws or drivers.

Advantages

Tool-less mounting makes drive installation and removal fast and simple. HotSwap and Plug & Play allow replacing HDDs without shutting down the system or installing drivers. The built-in controller supports RAID 0, 1, 3, 5 and 10, plus a Single mode to expose each drive individually. Status LEDs show interface, drive activity and fan information to simplify monitoring.

Insert 3.5" SATA HDDs into the tool-less metal bays until they are held securely; no screws are required. Connect the enclosure to your computer using either the supplied USB 3.0 cable or an eSATA cable. Replace drives while the system is running using HotSwap if needed.
