The RAIDSONIC ICY BOX IB-1121-C31 is an external single-bay docking station for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA I/II/III drives. It connects via USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C™ for up to 10 Gbit/s, supports SATA III transfer rates up to 6 Gbit/s, and works with Windows® and macOS®. The toolless, hot-swappable design enables quick drive access and easy data transfers without installing drives into a full enclosure.

Advantages

The docking station offers a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) Type-C™ host connection with transfer rates up to 10 Gbit/s and is downwards compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1. It supports both 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives and takes advantage of SATA III speeds up to 6 Gbit/s. Power and access status are shown by an LED. The unit is plug & play, supports HotSwap and is compatible with Windows® and macOS®.

How to use

Connect the docking station to your computer using the included USB-C cable. Insert a 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drive into the open bay until it seats on the SATA connector. The device is recognized automatically by the operating system; use your file manager or disk utility to access the drive. For safe removal, eject the drive in the OS before physically removing it.
