The ICY BOX IB-168SK-B is a 5.25" carrier panel for one 3.5" HDD that fits into a standard 5.25" bay. Designed as the first tray-less mobile rack from the manufacturer, it allows tool-free installation of a 3.5" hard drive and supports hot-swap-style drive exchanges via an NSS (non-scratch-SATA) SATA III connector that is backward compatible with SATA I/II. The panel combines a mainly metal body with an internal rubber cushion to reduce vibration and optimize passive heat dissipation.

Advantages

The tray-less design eliminates screws and tools for quick drive insertion and removal, saving installation time.
