The ICY BOX IB-200T-C3 is a compact 2.5" SSD/HDD enclosure with a USB Type-C connector and USB 3.x (up to 6 Gbit/s) data interface. It accepts a single 2.5" SATA drive up to 9.5 mm height and is finished in black plastic, providing a simple external storage option for Windows, macOS and Chrome OS systems.

Advantages

The enclosure supports high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as 3.1 Gen 1) transfer rates for fast file access and transfer. Tool-free installation lets you insert or replace a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD quickly without tools. A combi-cable with USB Type-C and USB Type-A connectors increases compatibility with different host ports and systems. How to use

Slide the enclosure lid open, insert a compatible 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD (up to 9.5 mm height) into the SATA connector, then slide the lid closed until it locks. Connect the included combi-cable to the enclosure and to the host computer using either the USB Type-C or USB Type-A plug depending on the available port. The drive will be recognised by the operating system; format or partition it if required by your system before first use.

Usage recommendations

For best performance use a SATA III SSD and connect via the USB Type-C port on a host that supports USB 3.x. Ensure the drive is properly seated before closing the lid and avoid excessive force. If the operating system does not automatically mount the drive, check disk management or disk utility to initialise or assign a drive letter.
