Heatsink/Radiator ICY BOX IB-M2HS-70
The ICY BOX IB-M2HS-70 is a compact black heatsink designed for M.2 solid-state drives. With dimensions of 22 mm width, 70 mm depth and 10 mm height, this aluminium radiator increases the surface area for heat dissipation to help maintain SSD performance and reliability. The set includes silicone rings for mounting, thermal pads to improve thermal transfer and aluminium cooling plates that can be removed when needed.
The aluminium cooling plates provide an expanded contact area to dissipate heat more effectively, while the supplied thermal pads improve conduction between the SSD and the heatsink. Silicone rings allow secure but removable fixation of the cooling plates to the M.2 SSD. The compact, low-profile design adds cooling without increasing overall height significantly.
Place the thermal pad onto the M.2 SSD surface where the controller and NAND chips require cooling. Position the aluminium cooling plate over the thermal pad so it contacts the SSD. Use the supplied silicone rings to secure the plate to the M.2 module; the rings allow removal of the plates when necessary. Install the M.2 SSD into the motherboard socket following your motherboard manufacturer’s instructions.
For best results, ensure the SSD and heatsink surfaces are clean and dry before applying the thermal pads. Do not overtighten any securing hardware and confirm there is sufficient clearance in your system to accommodate the 10 mm height of the heatsink.
