The Drive Bay Panel Icy Dock MB322SP-B is a 5.25” mobile rack that converts a standard device bay into two hot-swappable 2.5” SATA/SAS drive bays (supporting 7mm and 9.5mm heights) and one 3.5” slot for a hard drive or 3.5” device. The unit features a metal housing, ventilated slots for cooling, soft blue LED indicators for each 2.5” bay, and a detachable dust cover for the 3.5” opening.

How to use

Install the MB322SP-B into a standard 5.25” device bay and secure it per your chassis instructions. For 2.5” drives, place the front end of the drive (the end without connectors) into the built-in locator on the ExpressTray Mini so it sits flush, then press the rear end (with connectors) down until the drive seats fully. To remove a 2.5” drive, pull the rear tab of the tray to free the drive and lift it out. If extra stability is required, fasten the drive to the bottom tray screw holes. Insert a 3.5” HDD or compatible 3.5” device into the 3.5” slot or attach the detachable dust cover when the slot is unused.

Usage recommendations

Use SATA or SAS drives within the supported 7mm–9.5mm heights, ensure proper chassis airflow around the ventilated slots, and secure drives with the optional tray screws for environments with vibration or frequent transport.
