Drive Bay Panel Icy Dock MB732SPO-B
The Icy Dock MB732SPO-B drive bay panel converts a single 5.25" external bay into a combined slim optical drive bay and two hot‑swappable 2.5" HDD/SSD bays. The unit accepts slim (12.7 mm) and ultra‑slim (9.5 mm) optical drives using a multifunctional spacer/faceplate, and its tool‑less ExpressTray design supports 2.5" drives up to 15 mm tall. Constructed with a full‑metal chassis and plentiful ventilation, the MB732SPO-B is intended for small‑form‑factor PCs, home‑theater systems, and workstations that require compact, flexible storage of both optical media and 2.5" drives.
The enclosure provides two hot‑swappable 2.5" bays alongside a slim/ultra‑slim optical drive slot in a single 5.25" panel. Its ExpressTray tool‑less trays use built‑in pegs to hold drives quickly, with optional screws for extra security. Individual power switches and blue activity LEDs on each bay improve control and reduce connector wear. Locking SATA data and power connectors reduce accidental disconnects. Anti‑vibration rubber stoppers and a robust metal frame increase drive protection and long‑term durability.
Install the MB732SPO-B into a standard 5.25" external bay following your chassis instructions. For a slim optical drive (12.7 mm) insert the drive and secure it with the supplied screws; for an ultra‑slim optical drive (9.5 mm) use the included spacer/faceplate as a mounting adapter. Insert 2.5" HDDs/SSDs into the ExpressTray until the built‑in pegs engage; optionally secure with screws if transporting drives. Connect the supplied SATA data and power cables to your motherboard and PSU, ensuring the locking latches engage. Use the individual power switches to turn each drive on or off and monitor activity via the blue LEDs.
Place the enclosure in a well‑ventilated area inside the chassis and keep ventilation holes free of dust. For mechanically spinning HDDs, enable the anti‑vibration stoppers and consider securing trays with screws if the system is moved frequently. Use the individual power switches to remove power before swapping drives to protect connectors.
