The Icy Dock MB993SK-B carrier panel fits three 2.5" SATA SSDs or HDDs into a single external 3.5" drive bay, offering a compact solution for systems with limited internal space. Its slim EZ Slide trays support 5mm–7mm 2.5" drives and provide hot-swap capability, while Multi-Flow Technology and anti-vibration features improve cooling and stability.

How to use

Install the MB993SK-B into a standard external 3.5" bay, mount each 2.5" drive into an EZ Slide Slim tray (supporting 5–7 mm heights), then slide the trays into the carrier until they latch. Connect a single SATA power cable (4-pin SATA power) and SATA data cables to each drive as required by your system. The front LEDs indicate drive status: no light when ejected, green for access, red for failure. Use the supplied keys to engage the 2-segment lock if physical security is needed.

Usage recommendations

For mixed performance and protection, consider configuring the three drives in RAID (for example RAID 5 for performance plus redundancy, or RAID 1 for mirroring and RAID 0 for speed), or dedicate one drive as a stationary OS or hot-spare.
