This RAM Mounts RAM-D-2461U-C-247-4 mounting kit is a heavy-duty forklift mount made from black aluminium, designed to secure monitors and rugged tablets to square posts. The kit includes a D-size short double socket arm, a square D-size plate with a 75 x 75 mm VESA hole pattern and a 4" clamp base that wraps around square posts up to 4" wide. RAM Mounts' ball-and-socket technology reduces shock and vibration while allowing wide adjustment for accurate viewing angles; the kit has a maximum load capacity of 2.7 kg and a ball diameter of 5.72 cm.
The aluminium construction offers corrosion resistance and reduced weight compared with steel, while the 75 x 75 mm VESA plate provides compatibility with many small monitors and accessory brackets for keyboards or peripheral support. The 4" clamp base secures to square posts by tightening two plates with included nuts and bolts, and the ball-and-socket joint provides near-infinite adjustability and vibration damping for use in mobile industrial environments.
Position the 4" clamp base around the forklift's square post and align the clamp plates. Secure the clamp by inserting the provided bolts and tightening the nuts until the base is firmly fixed to the post. Attach the square VESA plate to your monitor or compatible accessory using the 75 x 75 mm hole pattern. Connect the double socket arm to the clamp base and the VESA plate via the D-size ball joints, then adjust the arm and ball joint for the desired viewing angle. Tighten the ball-and-socket connection to lock the position and verify that the assembly supports the device within the 2.7 kg capacity.
Confirm that the monitor or tablet and any accessories together do not exceed the 2.7 kg load capacity. Periodically check and retighten all fasteners and clamps after initial installation and during regular maintenance to ensure secure mounting in high-vibration environments.
