Rawlplug facade anchor R-TFIX-8M 8 mm x 275 mm with metal hammer-in pin, pack 100
Rawlplug facade anchor R-TFIX-8M 8 mm x 275 mm with metal hammer-in pin is designed for mechanical fastening of external cladding and thermal insulation systems to masonry and concrete substrates. The 8 mm diameter and 275 mm length provide sufficient embedment for ventilated facades, insulation boards and load-bearing external attachments where extended fixing depth is required. Supplied in a pack of 100, the anchors include a metal hammer-in pin to ensure positive engagement and resistance to pull-out in appropriate base materials.
The facade anchor combines a long shank with a metal pin to deliver reliable mechanical retention in solid masonry and concrete. The design reduces the risk of detachment of insulation layers and cladding under normal service loads and wind forces. Supplied in bulk packs, the product supports efficient on-site installation and stock management for larger façade projects. Materials and dimensions are selected to match common requirements for external thermal insulation fixation and ventilated façade attachment.
Drill a clearance hole in the substrate with a drill bit suitable for masonry or concrete to the required depth and diameter for the 8 mm anchor. Clean the hole of dust and debris before inserting the anchor shank. Push the anchor into the hole until the flange sits flush with the insulation or façade element, then drive the metal hammer-in pin fully into the anchor body using a hammer to activate the mechanical expansion and secure the fixing. Ensure embedment depth and edge distances comply with applicable installation guidelines for the substrate and intended loads.
Verify substrate condition before installation; avoid installation in hollow or poorly consolidated areas without prior assessment. Select drill bit and drilling speed suitable for the base material, and follow local codes and manufacturer guidance for spacing, edge distances and wind load considerations when fixing external cladding and insulation.
