RAWLPLUG R-TFIX-8S-115 screw-in façade anchor 8/115 mm with overmolding, mixed surface/head types
RAWLPLUG R-TFIX-8S-115 screw-in façade anchor is a fastening element engineered for fixing façade components and thermal insulation to masonry and concrete. The anchor has a nominal diameter of 8 mm and an overall length of 115 mm. It features an overmolding that improves sealing at the fastening point and helps distribute load more evenly across the substrate. The product is supplied in a mix of head types: red-headed variants for surface-head applications and green-headed variants for countersunk-head applications, allowing selection according to visible finish and installation requirements.
The overmolding enhances resistance to water ingress and reduces point stress on insulation boards and cladding. The screw-in design enables fast mechanical engagement with masonry and concrete without the need for chemical adhesives. Mixed head options allow flexibility on site when either a flush or raised head is required, reducing the need to carry multiple separate product types.
Choose the head type appropriate for the visible finish needed. Drill a hole in the substrate with the recommended drill bit diameter for an 8 mm anchor and clean the hole of dust and debris before insertion. Insert the anchor and screw it in until the overmolded section contacts the surface for sealing. Tighten to the torque specified by the anchor manufacturer for the substrate type to ensure adequate mechanical engagement.
Verify substrate condition and compressive strength before installation. Use suitable drill bits for concrete or masonry and remove drilling dust thoroughly. For thermal insulation applications, ensure the anchor length and embedment are appropriate for the insulation thickness and wind load requirements. Store anchors in a dry environment to preserve the overmolding quality.
