RAWLPLUG R-TFIX-8S-175 X screw-in facade anchor 8×175 mm, no spur, for insulation boards
RAWLPLUG R-TFIX-8S-175 X screw-in facade anchor 8×175 mm is a mechanical fixing designed for securing external insulation boards and facade layers to masonry and concrete substrates. This anchor features a threaded shank that enables quick installation and reliable holding. Supplied without spur or overmould, it is suitable for applications where a flush finish or specific tooling for grey surface or black countersink is required.
The threaded design ensures faster penetration and reduced installation torque compared with smooth shank anchors, providing firm pull-out resistance in concrete and solid masonry. Delivery without spur allows compatibility with specialized caps or decorative covers and offers flexibility for different facade finishing systems. The metal construction gives consistent mechanical performance and durability under typical exterior fastening conditions.
Drill a pilot hole to the required diameter and depth suitable for an 8 mm anchor in the specified substrate. Insert the screw-in anchor into the drilled hole and rotate using the appropriate tool until the anchor seats flush with the insulation layer or substrate as required. If a cover or cap is used, fit it after the anchor is fully installed. Ensure correct embedment depth and follow substrate-specific torque guidance to achieve optimal holding performance.
Use suitable personal protective equipment and follow relevant local standards for mechanical fixation of insulation systems. Verify substrate condition before installation and, for critical loads or unknown substrates, perform pull-out tests or consult technical guidance to confirm spacing, embedment depth, and load capacity.
